1. I am arrogant, rude and a bastard.
2. I don’t care about the rest of the world.
3. I don’t believe in sex before marriage but wouldn’t mind marrying 7 times.
4. I can behave am dumb
5. …

Another meme ? No, actually it should have been the end of the post. It is what kept me from daily posting lately. It bothered me daily. Above all my girlfriend is going through a bad time.

Regular readers know that I plan to go to the US in spring and want to live there for a while. The 4 above stated points will be in my next green card application form. Yes again I got refused. Although I could work for an international hotel chain. I have worked years ago for that chain in Amsterdam (NL). They had arranged a job for me in the States. Actually I got denied for the 5th time. Not to mention the several times I participated at the lottery.

My problem is I am a bartender and want to work in ‘bar Eden US’. And every time I applied as ‘bartender’ for a green card. Just a dumb bartender.

I got the denial several weeks ago already and in that time a German friend who is lawyer has tried to figure out if there was a way around. He used my German Microsoft references, my actual employer wrote me references as network administrator and security adviser and so on… We used everything that was IT-orientated. Answer :: not enough of experience. 2 Years non-stop required.

Just for the records :: fucking American cunts, I am coming anyway. Bastards. Even if I am from Belgium and not from Mexico. I want to work and not benefit your ‘wonderful’ social system. Bastards.

I am sorry about the greencard situation. I hope you get everything worked out SOON! I am staying Germany for as long as humanly possible. America is really overrated! heh

Hells fucking bells, just go to Mexico…you can walk over with the rest of them. They won’t do anything to you except send you back for another night of trying. :| Uhm, no, I’m not in the LEAST bitter about illegal immigration from Mexico. Come on, admit it, you just want to come over for that GIANT social welfare check of $500 or whatever it is. lol

It’s seriously that hard? Wow, I never knew there was such a “rush” to get in. heh How about you take my place here in the US and I’ll find somewhere else to live. I’ve always loved the Czech Republic even though I’ve not a clue on the language, sounds so….different than any other I’ve ever tried to speak. I could go live with my family in Spain. Although they think I’m weird..and I AM. Then there are the Irish cousins. But I think they’re weird..and probably ARE. :|

Sorry, I’d help if I knew how.

funny….you want IN the US and I want OUT. I hate this fucking place! There’s so much fucked up with politics and the judicial system, etc., that I just can’t stand it!

I’d sell my soul just to be there! Nah, there’s no place like home. Besides, this country, the Philippines, is US of A personified already. The only difference is that the latter is 1st world and this shit where I’m in is 3rd. Duh.

Oti :: my drinks never miss booze in…

JD :: Germany is nice and so are the people (just a little conservative in the smaller towns)… I enjoyed my 4 years in Germany.

KG :: wether you need to be ‘the best’ at your university (even not every degree is taken into consideration) or you need to proove at least 2 years of non-stop working experience in a ’specialized area’ ( specialized = interesting to the US, fe IT). Bartenders are too dumb and no bonus for the US. The US have enough of students wanting to bartend. Whatever, I could take the job of an illegal Russian working for the Hiltons or McDonalds.

Dawn :: actually I want to go in some years to Barcelona, Spain and open a bar there, but the US is a ‘challenge for every bartender’. I know I am good, maybe not the ‘flairtender’ or bottle juggler, but while my colleagues go for the show I will continue flirting and serve you fucking great drinks. In Europe where tipping isn’t compulsary I make averagely more then 10% of tips which is a lot. The average is 4,6% in the last years. American politics ? No idea, don’t care either. I work pay occasionally taxes and have fun. More important is my girlfriend lives in the States and has to study 3 more years, I don’t favorize 3 more years of LDR.

Tala :: it is all about the GF and the ‘bar challenge’ for me.

WTF? You got denied? How the Hell do all these Mexicans get in then? They (our government) KNOW they’re here cuz most of them get food stamps and state medical care!
    What Bullshit!
Do what KG said; go to Mexico then walk over. Shit, bring a bunch of pot and a few bombs with you, too, they’ll never notice!

I did a bachelor w/honours in Australia and I’m still here. I am now on a working-holiday visa, which means that I have to change jobs every three months. It’’s possibly the suckiest situation anyone can be in. I did a degree in journalism with honours in international relations. That doesn’t give me enough points to stay. If I had done a six-month hairdresser diploma I would’ve had my Permanent Residence-status already. Immigration sucks. I’m going back to Europe again. These right-wing, terror-paranoid countries make it so hard for you unless you are a)white and rich, b)rich and white, c)rich, d)white, e) hairdresser, carpenterm plumber, electritian or another so-called “trade” AND you’re white and rich.

Bob :: you know I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE memes

Lysie :: sorry I was quite upset. As a Belgian person you are always allowed as a tourist. Belgium even has an ‘extended tourist period’ of 6 months. So there’s no problem. And really I want to work in Vegas, truly.

Suki :: yes it is, just not when you’re 30 anymore, unless I first go here to uni and then ’score’ some really good grades that I the US ‘has a reason’ to keep a spot available for me.

Annie :: yes it seems to be easier when you’re from Latin America (Mexico) as when you’re European.

Elisabeth :: thanks for hopping over. Hope you like it and hope you were more succesful as I am with US Immigration.

    Croaker :: LOL. I am coming !!!!!

Bjornar :: ouch that sucks having to change job every 3 months. At least you can stay there and work. Europe is lovely, don’t hesitate!

Tala :: yes I will have fun when I finally get a spot behind a bar in Vegas :D

actually if you get in as a visitor, it may be easier to get a visa…apply when you get here. Really.

If you could have a job lined up, you probably wouldn’t have a problem. i think it’s a lot easier when you are actually in the country to stay in the country.
