PayPerPost Buys Performancing

December 28th, 2006 by WebMatrix · 4 Made Me Smarter

Once more TechCrunch breaks a news : PayPerPost buys Performancing.

This surely is an interesting move and not only from PayPerPost. PayPerPost does not only buy a community with 28000 members, but also an active blog advertising platform.
This could make for interesting blog conflicts.

A negative review written by you to grab a quick $5 and blogvertisement for the same service in your sidebar? Sounds an interesting concept to me.

And I am still surprised to see this market grow rapidly, no matter what GOOG announced. I think we will see funnily surprised faces in some months when PRs will suddenly change.

Update : As Nick Wilson, former owner of Performancing, just reported in the comments, the ad network is not part of the deal. Thanks for screwing my twisted thoughts Nick. ;-)
