I saw this at several places and first thought Gee another meme, but some hours later I actually fancied the thought of participating to this particular one. Why?
A. Because the internet here still sucks, we are waiting for a technical team and haven’t considered it worth swetting up a new server since our server survived all the tests and works fine. So again I am writing in notepad++ (apparantly a 48 router has inconsistencies)
B. Because I like the personal challenge in it, since I haven’t watched any TV last years. When most of time I jsut caught something at friends places. SO get ready for some old-school or nostalgia.
Some rules :
* Does not have to be a show currently airing
* No puppets or cartoons
* No reality show people
* All characters must be regulars on the show
* No mini-series
1. Spock, Star Trek. Of course, what did you expect? No I have never been a Trekkie, but I do like the old series. And Spock, well yeah : dry humour, smart dude and lots of Charisma.
2. Hannibal Smith, The A-Team. Hey, who was cooler than he was. I could actually see myself retiring the way he is, maybe a little less action tho.
3. Dylan, BH90210. Smart, lonely, popular and suffering of father’s pressure. I perfectly understood how he felt throughout the first series. I just was some years younger.
4. Starsky, Starsky and Hutch. Together with my father’s job, we inherited at home a heavy portion of professional dreams in front of TV. Of course every cop loves to solve problems within 45 minutes. I think S&H was the first series I rreally watched on TV and some months ago I watched the full first year of it and had a great time looking at old-school TV.
5. Ricardo Tubbs, Miami Vice. Do you get how long I haven’t been watching TV now? Yes alot of other stuff will also be from the 80s, beginning 90s and the limited shows we had in Europe in that period. But Ricardo was one cooool dude.
6. Rene, Allo Allo (British Comedy about a small occupied French village during WWII). Rene who runs the cafe has the kind of dry remarks I like. When still at school it was THE series to watch in Belgium.
7. Father Ted, Father Ted. A drunk, sarcastic, sometimes pessimistic, drunk Irish Father. Great slaptstick, couldn’t be drier and perfect play.
8. The ‘new’ Billy, Ally McBeal. Yup it happened to me to watch Ally, I adored the first seasons. The new Billy, I loved him. Maybe because I also had platinum blonde hair those days and was a man-whore. STFU!
9. Fonzarillo, Happy Days. Didn’t we all like him as a kid? Oh yeah and of course John Travolta in Grease was one of my favourite characters as well. This meme, especially #9 reminds me of my (short)life in the big guys police world. Within the first days I got my nickname. Junior007. My father always wanted to be 007 (and watched those movies way too often), so the Jr. was obvious I thought, but no actually I got the nickname just because they thought it fitted me. My father’s nick? Pacha. Funnily he never got the 007. LMAO.
10. Amanda, Melrose Place. Yeah the perfect bitch, ruthless (sometimes even professional) at work and smoking hot! I was only 17 tho.
11. Sue Ellen, Dallas. I had hardly grown out of my diapers, and my parents only having the 3 public Belgian channels and no cable yet at that time, Dallas of course was a weekly highlight. Is it strange that a 5-6 year old boy liked Sue Ellen?
12. Stephanie Seymour, November Rain - Gun’s ‘n Roses. Considered the number of times I have seen the clip it surely should be considered as a regular TV episode. :D
13. Erika Eleniak, Baywatch. I don’t remember her character name anymore, but babe was she HAUWT!!!
14. Kate Moss, My Secret Belgian Love. I am still trying to convince Kate of producing the series, but she is hesitant and first wants to make sure Pete Doherty stops drinking his own blood and finally gets some colour. I proposed Kate we could already rehearse our role without camera tho.
15. Vanessa Paradis, (I suffer memory loss). I am sure there has to be a show she was a regular in. And if not, it surely will be made one day. I’ll update that day this entry. Till then… get.over.it.
16. Kylie Minogue, Neighbours. No not the Neighbours Kylie, but as she is now. You can’t say I cheated because she was in a daily Australian soap. :-P
17. 18. 19. 20. Sex in The City. STFU, I liked all 4. I like sophisticated bitches. If only they would be more relationship-compatible.
21. Anna Kournikova, show to be announced (somewhen 2009 or later).
22. Maria Sharapova, Sanex. THAT.was.a.damn.TV.series that commercial. They even reaired it every month, it was that popular!
23. [fill in here favourite redhead]
24. [fill in here favourite brunette]
25. [fill in here favourite black haired hottie]
#23, #24 and #25 are anti-discriminatory measures before I got sued because I only favourized blonde women. Actually I never really liked blonde women, but listing some hot blonde babes surely was more interesting than some more police or Star Trek characters. :D
On a sidenote, this movie has an error. He wore a black Armani suit …with red snakeskin leather shoes. ;-)

I like your answers, other than the laziness that appeared towards the end.
You never watched Buffy or Firefly or any of those shows?

No, I haven’t got any cable TV since … hmmm… 9 years?
If I saw one of those episodes it most of time was when visiting friends. Except Ally and Sex In The City, which I bought. YEah SImpsons, Futurama and co of course I have seen them.
Laziness??? LOL. Hey I was tired, trying since days everything to get our internet stable again, yesterday there just was no way to reboot remotely, today it is ’semi stable’. I wanted to do stuff and couldn’t work. Besides that I really tried to think of some hot babes who appeared in TV series, is just damn hard when you never watch TV. YEah seen some Friends episodes too lol.
I guess I should download more. Lets see what shows NBBC will soon publish online.
