I surrender. I finally participate to a kind of meme.
I try to work my reputation. LOL.
Next week Saturday, Saturday 29th, is Blogathon time. I will be participating and am now supposed to whore this event out and write about it every time I post an entry and ask you to sponsor me and the charity I blog for. Go here and discover it.
At the same time I reveal for the first time publicly the name of my future Media Site. One day I will finally finish that site, but untill then the lovely lazy landing page will stay up. I honestly can’t imagine I will have time in the next days to create a decent landing page, but who knows.
I will mainly blog about the charity organization and his history, but also about my huge 24 hour consumption of Red Bull and coffeine.
If time allows me I will create a WP-theme for the blog, a theme which will be publicly released after the Blogathon. Did you already sponsor?
The charity you will sponsor : Emmaus UK.
Emmaus Communities offer homeless men and women a home, work and the chance to rebuild their self-respect in a supportive, community environment.
Companions, as residents are known, work full time refurbishing donated furniture and household goods and selling them in the community shop. The community aims to become self-sufficient through this activity.
All the funds raised during the Blogathon will be given to the Emmaus Sheffield group, a group of volunteers trying to start an Emmaus Community for 24 compagnons.
Emmaus Sheffield will open in Autumn 2007. It will offer a home to up to 24 formerly homeless men and women, who will work full time collecting, refurbishing and re-selling donated furniture and household goods.
As Emmaus aims to be self-sufficient and not rely on gouvernmental aids we can use all your help.
Donate $1, $100, $0.50 or sponsor me on an hourly base, every donation, no matter how small or how big is welcome. Help the Emmaus Group in Sheffield continue this wonderfull project and soon provide accomodation for 24 homeless people compagnons. Emmaus does not only help homeless people, but also provides the area some of the cheapest second hand superstores, and helps people dealing with financial problems with essential equipment, such as furniture and electrical appliances.
Intenationally Emmaus sends yearly multiple containers full of furniture to Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa and South-America. Former homeless people becoming charity aiders. Emmaus makes it possible. Donate here and now.

Wow, so you’re going to take part in that. I’ll come by for a visit, but I won’t be doing the 24 hour blogging… Made myself a chiropractic appointment on Saturday.
