Am I Famous Now…

...My Brother Knows Everyone, Nobody Knows Him

business : manners and communication needed

November 11th, 2006 by WebMatrix · 9 Made Me Smarter

Dearest ebay customer,

exactly 27 days ago you won an auction at ebay. The seller has a 100% rating over more than 1000 auctions. I was the seller.
During the auction you asked me when the item would arrive and I answered you “within 5 working days“, although international shipping was required.

You never mailed, or even contacted me anymore. Nor did you leave any feedback. I had already archived the auction in my selling manager.

Two days ago you suddenly felt the need to communicate.
You filled a paypal complaint for “non-receipt“. Did you ever consider mailing me (over ebay) or even Skype or phone me? Maybe use the toll-free phone number that is mentionned in my ebay (and paypal) account?

No.

I have some news and rules for you. I don’t think you will like them tho.

As soon as I received the complaint, I faxed my packing slip, together with the shipping documents (yes I even filled in a customs declaration, low enough not to have you pay any supplementary taxes and marked the item as “a gift” ) to someone I know at PayPal. PayPal Complaints Dept.
Customs didn’t contact me, so the article crossed the border.
Also did I grant PayPal Complaints Dept., where my contact happens to work, access to my ebay account to verify if there has ever been any communication from your side. There hasn’t.
You have nothing to document, but I am well documented. An error from your side.

Some minutes ago I received a call from PayPal UK. Dept. … well you can easily guess which one. Your complaint has been closed because you have never communicated and waited 25 days. Also you can’t prove that you didn’t receive the item as the tracking service has recorded the item as delivered.
My funds have been unblocked.
I think you should have an email notification of this by now.

Sorry.
It was a pleasure to do business with you.

On a side note, as you could see in my ebay shop, I still have the same items for sale. Exactly 24 are still available. I would immediately have send you a new one if you would have contacted me the regular way. I would have taken care of the shipping problems with first item afterwards. I always first satisfy my customers, only then I take care of my own stuff.

Luckily for you I am a nice person. Not everyone might agree with, but I am. I did send you a new item out this morning with international priority service.
Contact me if there are any problems this time.
If new official problems arise without acknowledging me before, I will take action next time. I will sue you for theft if you don’t/can’t prove you have never received the goods. That is no threat, but a promise.

Yours,

Franky.

    What a cock.

I got my first negative feedback ever a few months ago out of the blue. I thought everyone was happy, but the bastard decided he’d rather file a negative feedback than communicate with me.

What does the American Teacher Guy In China have against you? His blog scares me.

I swore off eBay. One month I lost more money than I made. I’m smarter than that…or so I thought. Ebaying while drunk is the worst thing to do.

I think it is a problem with Spam Karma.
As for Lonnie, visit the comment he left yesterday in my colophon.
An old BE-shoutbox relation. Nothing to worry about. Actually a nice person, but he prefers house wifes blowing him sun up in the arse.

Wow, he made himself look like an incredible jerk. He never was my cup of tea. I’ll shut up because I have a plethora of things I’d like to say.
