Today I read something, something I am going to steal. But I only steal it because there is a short history behind. Let me tell you whole non-existing story. I don’t do religion, I hate religion and avoid it. I believe in something, something personal and don’t need lots of people telling me howto-believe, interprete and so on. Hence I avoid religion.
I avoid anything with religion. I avoid religious blogs. But a while ago I discovered Natalie Jost. Natalie is a marvelous designer I think. I started reading Natalie’s blog and very often marked the post as read after only some words. Because I like the design stuff at her site and not the religious posts. Religion is a PitA. Religion is synonym of discriminate, hate, [insert many others here] to me.
Some days ago I tried to commented at Natalies post about hosting and asked
Isn’t your post contradictory with your first paragraph?
Since comments are moderated I was pertty sure that it would get deleted. Reasons : Natalie is a firm believer and also had an affiliate link in her post. She was also hyping her Christian hoster. Thing I would never do, hype my hoster. One might have the best experience with his hoster, recommend the hoster and the friend ends up on another server… a mainly overloaded server. See ;)
Actually I thought exactly that was what Natalie meant in her first paragraph. I didn’t want to flame her, but rather point her at a certain (IMHO) inconsequence in her post. But money and religion made her delete my comment. My first reaction?
Oh well another religious PitA who doesn’t accept any criticism.
I might be harsh, because having read Natalie since quite some time now I am sure she would think about this post and probably even react, apologize and contact might/could start … or not. You have to forgive as a Christian don’t you? But personally I couldn’t care less about this happening or not. Anyway …
Big was my surprize today when I saw Natalie’s post, another word for tolerant. It made me giggle. Thanks Natalie.
Honest.
The concept :
find ONE word that describes the word HONEST to you.
Just one word.
And keep it religious free or I’ll delete your comment :P
P.PS (Personal PS) : Natalie,
no I didn’t want to flame or have a link or anything. I already link to you since months.
Personally I don’t care about incoming links, but the internet, and surely the blogosphere lives of his links.
Stripping down the url-field of commenters is arrogant and pretentious. Why not give people a link if their comment is meaningfull? Or have you become that pretentious lately? Links here even have dofollow, because even the little freetime bloggers might enjoy his pagerank one day.
I find it sad to see that someone using words like tolerant, indiscriminate aso lives these standards. Feel free to contact me if you want, you have my mail otherwise take this domain name at gmail.

Honest = Sincere.
The true question would be, is honesty or sincerity truly attainable in this day and age?
