OK, somehow I am (semi) happy. iTunes7 looks less fucking boring. But it sucks more fucking RAM. And it doesn’t recognize all the covers. CoverFlow is cool, but hey I can watch at smaller thumbnails too and give my RAM a break.
New iPod designs. Thinner, brighter and more storage. Wuha, I mean… isn’t that normal the way storage hardware evolves. Big fucken surprize. None.
Video downloads for $14.99 at iTunes store. In 640×480 pixel with D-fucking-RM. Why the fuck would anyone want to download a movie in that quality? For $3 more I got the DVD in high resolution. Big fucking announcement I was looking forward to Apple. Not.
iTV. Great now that is a fucking killer system. $299. Forget that. $299 + 512MB RAM. How wull I otherwise listen to iTunes while working and at the same time send all my media (luckily only in max. res 640×480 pixel I presume ) to the TV so the wife can watch movies. Great move. Why did I just invest $94 in a great high quality scart lead. Oh, I remember to watch DVDs in Hi-Res.
What would have been a surprize? Was Apple really going to come with some exciting news? Except for the new Shuffle?
Of course not. Everything has been updated/upgraded in the last 6 months already. Leopard had his preview (did anyone see something actually). New MacBooks, new MacPro, in spring we had the MacBookPro.
So what had I hoped? A fucking Nano with 32GB Sony Memory Stick and widescreen as large as the Nano is big. Buttons on the side.
iPod with wireless and Internet Browser (keyboard as accessory). 120GB minimum and of course 7″ widescreen. Organizer and other shit integrated.
Actually I would have been happy with just.decent headphones. No don’t change the design… change the fucking quality of the headphones.
What did I get? A free trip to the hardware store to buy some more RAM. Bastards. Need links? Go here.
And last but not least. Why this and this? That is a difference of almost 30% between US and UK price. Still. Fuck You Apple.

Shit. My mac hardly has enough ram as is (and I won’t be installing it on the pc because I have absolutely no use for it on the pc).
I wonder if itunes 7 supports windows media (asx) streams…probably not…in which case, I’m not even gonna bother.

3500 tracks, only 20 covers recognized in cover flow (think are like 240 albums tho) and hogs 140MB on my PC. Blog entries on Mac G4 speak from 100MB RAM and 300MB virtual memory.
