Am I Famous Now…

When I knew I was going to get a bigger own space, I decided to shift out stuff. More space, less crap. It all sounded logical to me.
Biggest project was to get rid of lots of books and even more CDs. For years now I have been spending that much of money buying new CDs. And just as much to ship them everywhere I go. I ended up with around 1200 albums.

I love movies. I spend way too much money buying new DVDs. I only have around 100 movies, but they (almost) all are special editions. I will buy a DVD and as soon as a special edition/director’s cut/extended edition is released I will buy latter.

I discovered I still had some burned downloaded albums in my collection. STFU! and wait till I am done before you sue me, k?
I download music. I download newly released movies. I even don’t hyde my IP. I am an impulsive buyer. I would spend all my money buying new music and movies.
I became smarter. I prelisten and preview everything nowadays. Then I decide if I buy it or not. I discovered lots of new and great stuff I’ld otherwise never would have heard/watched and surely not bought.
I finally discovered iTunes. I HATE iTunes. I am an impulsive buyer. I have always stayed away from iTunes (and not only because I am an impulsive buyer) because I love music. And because I am an impulsive buyer.

It saved me lots of money. I saved lots of money.

Today I threw away sorted out almost 800 albums. I discovered around 30 burned CDs. In my fairness, I bought all those albums at iTunes.

And around 50 more.

I wanted to shift out and ended up, not only with a new bed, new lamp, but also with a hole in my credit card and a newly rediscovered hate for iTunes. I will not tell anyone that I bought a new couch as well this week.

Now I am going to browse iTunes some more and subscribe to several American TV shows we don’t get in the UK. I might even discover some more music.
