Now I am a nerd, at least people say so. Because I spent hours daily online and make good money doing so ? Fair enough. So let’s meet the ‘real life’ people.
We had a visitor this week. She was going to stay 2 weeks. She was the girlfriend of a housemate. It was the second time she saw him in real life. It was the second time she stayed at our house. When he asked if she could stay the other housemates told him that she should ignore the ‘other hosts less’ than last time. I wasn’t part of the house yet three months ago when she first came, so I asked my other housemates what happened.
She had stayed here for 1 week without even greeting the other people. OK. Exactly the kind of people I like. I kicked her out this morning after only three days at our place. I got up around 12 and went to the common kitchen, a huge kitchen. I made myself a coffee. She showed up. I must admit I am no morning person before the third coffeinated drink, but still know ‘etiquette’.
I :: Hi, how are you ?
She :: …
She :: …
She :: …
OK, this was the third day in a row. I had the same situations when I saw her in the evenings. So did the other housemates. He said she ‘felt strange’ among us. BUT she never felt too ’strange’ to come to take a portion of the food for her. She knew the house well enough to take 3 bottles of white wine I had in the fridge. Suddenly she could speak.
She :: Sorry I didn’t mean it that way (I hadn’t mentioned the food or wine at all)
I :: Out.
She :: You’re a bastard…
I :: Yes I am.
20 minutes later she was gone and her boyfriend even didn’t argue. Later he said that he accepted what I did. I love real life, I really do. I am sure she would have behaved totally differently.

Didn’t this girlfriend ever learn common courtesy? Like open your mouth and say hello when someone says hi to you?
BTW, love your choice of a renter this week. Dawn and I are “real life” friends as well

At least you did it… Or there’d be a next time and another next. I’m shy, but not like that - that’s just plain rude.

There is nothing worse than opening your home to someone and having them be ungracious. It’s horrible and I’m glad you kicked her to the curb.
Peace…………..

If the three bottles of white didn’t improve her social skills then there was really no hope for her. Wonder if she talked in bed? Probably not if your roomie didn’t complain about her being put out…

My big brothers girlfriend Nadia stays in our house, but she’s very friendly, and always says hi to everbody, just she has a problem with her butt, she farts like crazy, and that stinks, but we have plenty of windows.

About time some one said enough to her, probably no one else had dare to do it before. She needed it. It’s a lot of people going around acting bad and no one is telling them, so they tend to get worse and worse!

I’dve set her straight the first night I saw my food missing. No guest is going to eat my food and disrespect me at the same time without an ass-kicking, or being kicked the hell out.
