Am I Famous Now…

The week was nothing special. A lot of excitement, just not the right excitement. Lately I seem to be on a run… a negative one.

Luckily, I am a busy bee. Professionally.
I hardly know where to start. Go one post back and discover the new game. But it was not all negative, at least not work related. On monday I sent out the papers to change the names for the company. Normally next week I will not be involved in it anymore officially. Nice.

Lately I have been thinking alot about making my comeback behind the bar. Would be fun wouldn’t it, but do I really want to end up like Dough in Cocktail? Not really, actually that was why I stopped bar work.
But still I have been in touch alot with German colleagues, mainly to keep up but also to hear what opportunities were available. Now you have to know if I mean in touch with colleagues, I mean I call the regional, national representatives of alcohol brands. Especially in Germany I know them all and have worked with most. Actually a big multi-national even regularly bought recipes of me for special venues. So if an opportunity would arise, it would rather be a huge project.

And soon I was speaking again with the people who had offered me something nice shortly before I moved to the UK. People representing a majorly vodka/dark beer (bitter) related corporation (if you are good, you can easily guess which corpo is meant). Now what is this all about???

I just got the mail I have been waiting for since almost a year : THEY WILL PUBLISH A COCKTAIL BOOK WRITTEN BY ME!!!!!!!

Now I gotta be honest, there is a little detail. I have to work with their brands. And I majorly hate the taste of their products. And they do know. Isn’t that sweet?

So basically in the next 12 months I will have to test lots of cocktail and refine the recipes for their products. And nicest of all is that if I do follow that rule and publish 300 recipes, I am totally free in my style and everything I write. I love it when people know AND RESPECT my style. I surely will get new haters end 2007, which is the aimed release period (cocktail books do great together with shakers for Christmas), but do I care?

Nope.This just is too friggin great!

I am gonna publish a book and above all it won’t be boring police shit like my father did!!! No it will get you loaded and you’ll love it. :D

PS : While I will work the book and test the fine-tuned recipes, I’ll also keep a blog as teaser. Actually the blog and design are ready since almost 3 months, I was merely waiting for the final decision. Now I just have to start drinking posting. The book will be in German, the blog in English. Who knows … ;-)

And for the people who like too gossip… my speciality are alcohol-free cocktails. ;-)
